2009 International Seminar in Peru

With a hands-on approach to learning, the Seminar contributes not only to bridging the gap between theory and practice, but promotes meaningful intercultural exchange. 

This year, the International Seminar will take place in Peru from May 25th to July 10th, 2009.  Canadian participants will work with Peruvian students to conduct group research and contribute to local development initiatives. The group research will focus on the topic of "Water issues in Peru".

Selection Criteria  
The International Seminar is for students enrolled in a university or college program.  To be eligible you must be:

- A Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
- Able to communicate in English or French and Spanish, as it is the official language of Peru;
- Motivated and ready for an experience that will change your life;
- Available and willing to participate in all stages of the Seminar including departure training, in-country orientation, project activities, report writing and public engagement initatives;
- Able to conduct a contribution campaign of $3,000.
